The Evisceration of Public Figures…i.e., Anthony Weiner

We are a nation of spectators. We amuse ourselves with hours of entertainment, via the television, radio, movie theater, or the Internet. Like Rome some Americans delight in being tantalized by the latest scandal and relish the “blood” being spilled in the public arena. Before Rome fell, the spilling of blood  in the Colosseum kept the rabble entertained but it was a barometer of how corrupt the empire had become as it rotted from the inside out. CONTINUE
