Fox News Poll Puts Romney in the Lead (VIDEO)
A new Fox News poll puts former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as the new frontrunner in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. The survey revealed that Romney earned 23 percent of the support of people polled. Texas Gov. Rick Perry dropped to second with 19 percent.
Meanwhile, after a strong showing in the Florida straw poll, businessman Herman Cain has tripled his support, placing third with 17 percent of potential voter support. The poll also found that President Barack Obama holds a slight lead when matched up against the Republican frontrunners.
Forty-five percent of respondents said they would vote for the president, while 42 percent would support Romney. The gap gets a little larger with Rick Perry. Obama tops Perry by eight points.
