Outrage over Obama Omitting 'Under God' from Gettysburg Address

Our "Christian" President who described the Muslim call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset”, very often leaves God out of speeches- even prayers.
Pay close attention this Thanksgiving for instance and you will probably hear no mention of God to give thanks to for yourself like he did here (see link).  He leaves out the word "Creator" when he recites "We have been endowed by our Creator" from the Declaration of Independence.   There is more.  A lot more.

Below are a few of the excepts from a Phyllis Schlafly video, if you care to check it out.  Hope you watch it in its entirety however:

"One of his {Obama's} first executive order in January 2009 was to reverse the practice of the Bush Administration and start giving tax payer money to organizations that perform abortions in other countries.

In February of 2009, he announced the elimination of conscience protections that allowed pro-life doctors and nurses in federally funded hospitals to opt out of performing abortions.

In April 2009 Obama delivered a speech at Georgetown University only after his staff had pressured the Catholic College to cover up the monogram for the name of Jesus that was always displayed above the podium"

The next thing we noticed was that when President Obama recites the Declaration of Independence, he changes the wording.  When he quotes the great Declaration he censors out the word "Creator".  We all know that the Declaration proclaims that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights. Again and again when Obama recites this line he omits the word "Creator".  Obama has done this so often that it cannot be a slip of the tongue or a glitch of the teleprompter. It is deliberate."

"Obama canceled the traditional White House event honoring the National Day of Prayer saying he would pray "only in private".

"In a November 2010 speech Obama pretended to quote the U.S. National Motto, which is, "In God We Trust", I guess he couldn't bring himself to say "God", so he mistakenly said our  official motto is "E Pluribus Unum".

"When Obama gave the traditional Thanksgiving Day Presidential address in 2011 he again failed to mention God.  It wasn't clear who he was thanking on this uniquely American holiday, but it certainly wasn't God.

"Apparently Obama thinks he can pick and choose which laws he can enforce and which laws he can overturn. In February 2011 Obama instructed his Justice Department NOT to defend the Federal Defense of Marriage Act known as DOMA that was overwhelmingly passed by a bi-partisan Congress but is now under attack in the Federal Courts by the homosexual activists trying to get supremacist Judges to declare it unconstitutional."

"In September 2011 Obama who is determined to defy the Federal Defense of Marriage Act ordered the Pentagon to authorize the performance of same sex marriage ceremonies on military bases, thus violating not only the Federal law but also the traditional first amendment rights that have always been accorded to military Chaplains.

"Barack Obama must think that his title of Commander in Chief enables him to banish religion from the U.S. military. In July 2011 Obama's Department of Veteran's Affairs banned any mention of Jesus Christ during the burials at Houston National Cemetery. Hundreds of demonstrators turned out on Independence Day to protest and to support a lawsuit against that ban.  After that, the ban was lifted."
And let's not forget, it was under Obama's watchh that a desecration of the 30 dead soldiers, including Seal Team 6 by a so called "prayer" that was more a curse on our fallen heroes than a prayer (link).

Many Americans are offended that on Tuesday, President Obama recited a version of the Gettysburg Address that omitted the phrase “under God” for a celebrity project created by progressive documentarian Ken Burns.
Some Americans like Bryan Fischer, a conservative Christian leader, say "Obama's omission of 'under God' is more evidence of his anti-Christian bigotry. He honors Islam but disrespects Christianity."
When Lincoln gave the speech overlooking the battlefield and the cemetery being dedicated to the fallen soldiers at Gettysburg, he promised that “this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.” The version of the speech that contains these words is inscribed at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. It was this same version recited in Gettysburg, PA on Tuesday that impelled thousands to travel from across the nation and the world to hear.
Obama, already under fire for shunning the 150th Anniversary celebration of the occasion at Gettysburg (the trip is about a 20 minute helicopter flight from the White House), was defended by Jay Carney, Obama’s White House Press Secretary. Carney maneuvered by claiming, "He read the version of the address that Ken Burns provided.” Carney added that Burns is a “noted Civil War scholar.”
Ken Burns is also a well known left leaning proselytizer, and his documentaries are populated by the most liberal celebrities that Hollywood has to offer. Often called upon for his projects are Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, and other openly leftist celebrities.
Burns has made overt and veiled references to Tea Party supporters and conservatives as racists. Talking about race and modern politics during an appearance on Meet the Press, he asked rhetorically, "Do you think we'd have a secession movement in Texas and in other places... if this president wasn't African American?" Burns also insists that racism was at the heart of the failure to nominate Susan Rice as Secretary of State. Burns did not consider it material that she blatantly lied to the American people during the aftermath of the Benghazi terrorist attacks.
