"Church of Lucifer" Releases Video

"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." - Genesis 3:5

A Houston "church" (but apparently not in the Christian or biblical sense of the word) has released a rather bizarre video. (Below
According to the Facebook page of the  "Greater Church of Lucifer", their video had nothing to do with the rapture, despite its similarity. And I believe them.  Here is what they say it means:

This video represents the journey to higher self by breaking free of restrictions that bind us. The finding of the personal daemon and uniting as one for a common goal.
Deamon defined; an inner or attendant spirit or inspiring force.[emphasis added] synonyms: numen, genius, genius loci, inspiring force, attendant spirit, tutelary spirit "it must have been a magnificent daemon that inhabited the heart and soul of this artist"

Apparently once the video went public, they made this clarification:

To whom it may concern,
I find is funny and bit sad that some have tied the video released "Break the bonds that bind you" to a rapture of some sort. In no way was it ever meant to be related. People see what the want to see even if explained and clarified on the matter at hand.
The only meaning put behind the video was that it was the representation of the journey to the higher self or the evolved self to a higher plane of thought. What is more liberating than the image and symbol of flight?
The people in the video coming together as one to form the GCOL logo is only a symbol of unity within the church. A display of family as brothers and sisters from many different paths and points of view come together in common understanding and goals.
This was not meant as an advertisement but as a message of inspiration to fellow members and those who follow the GCOL. There is nothing else to it.
Thanks,
Jacob No
Founder and Co-President of the Greater Church of Lucifer.

So who is the GCOL?  According to their own website, they are Luciferians.  And according to various quotes from the mission statement on their website:
"The Greater Church of Lucifer is a foundation for the unique individual who dares to illuminate the inner-light of the Black Flame."
"As individuals, we seek to express our insight towards attaining apotheosis, Lords of our spiritual and carnal world."

"We are true to our method and base our philosophy in the 11 Luciferian Points of Power."

"We take what has been placed upon this planet and expose the lies we encounter."

"We are the free thinkers, the iconoclasts that have been chastised over the centuries."

"The goal of personal study is development of the self. Welcome to the journey of discovering who you are as your own goddess/god."

Interestingly, and to give even more of a flavor perhaps in what this group of Luciferians believe, they mention the name of Michael W. Ford and his belief system more than a couple of times on their website.  I spent a few minutes watching a Michael W. Ford video where he teaches how to consecrate an idol and he goes as far back as the ancient Moabites for his knowledge. Another deals with Beelzebub and Baalzebub. You get the idea.  This is all part of the mystery religions.
Nothing new under the sun.
Let us not forget 1 Peter 3:15, especially as we are living in a post-Christian America.
