Sunday Reflection: Watch This and Know These are the Last Days! (2016-2017)

It's to the point I don't have adequate words to express what we see happening all around us now, on a daily basis.  Certainly the days are growing ever more dark.

Our Lord explained to us:

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)

To those who would believe in Jesus he said:

"I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:46).

Many godly believers today are wondering when God will judge this world for her wickedness, as He did in the days of Noah.  I mean after all:

"For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished" (2 Peter 2:1-9)

Today we know that He has already judged the world at the cross (John 12:31), making atonement for all mankind's sins:

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God" -Ephesians 2:4-10

And commissioning His Church as Ambassador's to tell the whole world the good news:

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." -2 Cor. 5:20

Yet there is soon coming day when the church is called up and the dispensation of God's grace will end, and the time for mankind to have made his or her choice and accept the free gift of God's grace and to be completely cleansed of all sins and totally made clean will sadly and irrevocably come to a screeching and for many, terrifying halt:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” - (I Thessalonians 4:16,17)

Scripture compares the tribulation period to the day's of Noah:

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:37)

Important to note that there was seven days before the rain started and then the Lord shut Noah and his family in the Ark.

"And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood. Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth."

-(Genesis 7:7-10)

"And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him [Noah]. And the LORD shut him in.  - (Genesis 7:16)"

Jason A

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." - Jude 1:7
