"See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.
The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
But no man can tame the tongue.
It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God."
- James 3:5-9 (nkjv)
Back in May of this year, we learned that the Washington Post had assigned 20 Reporters to dig up dirt on The Donald. Their ugly scheme is paying off.
The Washington Post is reporting this evening, including a video, that Donald Trump had "extremely lewd conversation about women in 2005".
This can't be good news for the Trump Campaign, and not good news for his supporters, of which, as you know, I am one.
Although this happened some 11 years ago, he was married at the time. As Trump would say; 'not good"
And it wasn't good. In fact, it was shameful and no doubt, quite embarrassing. Trump sent out this press release:
“This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course - not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”
With the second Presidential Debate this Sunday, my gut tells me he may have to try and clean this up a little bit more with the American people, because it is the right thing to do.
Don't doubt that this October Surprise wasn't planned long ago, and don't doubt that the Dem's have another one or two still up their sleeve.
But where do I, as a Trump supporter go now? How do I process this latest news about Donald Trump?
Well for me anyway, I don't explain it away as no big deal. It is offensive, and I have no doubt that millions of American's will find it to be so. No free passes for Trump. No excuses. Sin is still sin, and I for one am not going to turn a blind eye.
That said, the sin wasn't against me or anyone I know. In fact, it was immature talk in a way. Trump is way past puberty and being in a locker room.
I can only pray that one of the Christian men that he seems to hang around lately will admonish him in love. Tough love.
The way I see it is that I have one effective choice that is in the interest of the Republic, and that is Donald Trump.
Trump has a problem, or at least had a problem, with perverse lips which disqualifies him for being Pastor-and-Chief or Husband of the Year.
And really, it's not good.
Hillary has a problem with corruption, dead bodies, being a hypocrite and a liar that is bad for the entire nation and disqualifies her for being President of the United States.
I wrote a few weeks ago that we have a choice between two imperfect people. That hasn't changed. Only one of them can possibly help this nation. The other one, has an agenda of personal gain and is also more closely aligned with Barack Obama's agenda of destruction.
Still a no-brainer.
